What a history this Irving Berlin classic has had! It was originally written for the 1942 musical film, Holiday Inn, but it’s more known for being Bing Crosby’s signature song. His version topped the charts for 11 weeks in 1943, became number 1 again for him in 1944, but his version has returned to the top 40 a dozen times over the years, most recently in 2025. His version remains the world’s best-selling single and remains as one of the US’s best-selling singles of all time
