Learn to play "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton (repeat of 5-28-20)

Your living space!

7:30 Eastern Daylight Time -- Learn to play "I Will Always Love You,” the classic song written and recorded by Dolly Parton as a farewell to her singing partner, Porter Wagoner, when she left his TV show. The song was made even more commercially successful with the Whitney Houston version recorded for the 1992 movie, “The Bodyguard.” I learned the song from the Linda Ronstadt version, and that is where the intro comes from for this arrangement. The dulcimer arrangement is suitable for the intermediate player who has a solid knowledge of chord shapes, 3-finger chords, and picking across the strings in an arpeggiated fashion. Participants will receive a practice recording. Due to copyright restrictions, participants must first purchase an authorized copy of the tab from our Sheet Music Plus page for $4.99 ( https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/i-will-always-love-you-digital-sheet-music/20729254 ) then email a copy of the receipt to elainekconger@gmail.com before registering for the class. No, I cannot sell you the tab directly without breaking the copyright law and our contract agreement with Sheet Music Plus who licenses the song and distributes the royalty fees to the composers and publishers. The event will take place online using Zoom, the free video conferencing platform. You will need a computer, iPad or smartphone equipped with a camera and microphone in order to attend the class. After you register, you will receive an email the day before the class is to begin with the link to the class session. Simply click on that link a little before the appointed time to join the fun.
