(7:30 EST) This is a continuing class for those who have taken the “It’s STILL About the Bass Dulcimer” workshop at QuaranTUNE. It includes a repeat of material I taught in June 2020 on my website, but I’ll add additional tunes -- I’ll even bring Larry in to jam with us! This class builds on the alternating bass foundation – a skill all bass players should be proficient in -- and on to the walking bass pattern which fits genres like classic pop, blues, boogie woogie and rock ‘n roll. We will review briefly the material presented in the workshop but then move on to discuss scales more in depth including the blues 7th scale. Expect to learn how to walk in the key of G in addition to D. Tabs and audio files will be emailed the day before the class.

The event will take place online using Zoom, the free video conferencing platform. You will need a computer, iPad or smartphone equipped with a camera and microphone to attend the class. After you register, your email receipt will contain the Zoom link for the class. Simply click on that link a little before the appointed time to join the fun!
