Learn to Play "Eagle's Wings"

Your living space!

Thursday, Oct 15, 7:30 EDT – Join me in learning a solo mountain dulcimer arrangement of “On Eagle’s Wings,” a devotional hymn written by Micael Joncas, a Catholic priest and composer of contemporary Catholic music. The lyric combines passages from Psalm 91, Exodus 19, and Matthew 13. Written in the late 70’s, it has been a popular contemplative hymn at Catholic masses but has now become popular in mainline Protestant churches as well.

The arrangement is in the key of G and will require a 1.5 fret. It is appropriate for the upper intermediate level player who is familiar with the chord-melody style of playing and is comfortable playing in an arpeggiated fashion across the fretboard. Participants in the class will also receive an audio recording as well as an accompaniment track.
